So here’s Liz Cousland from my DAO fics, post-dramatic haircut, with her lightning sword, supposedly leading a charge on Denerim. She didn’t have a Warden flag then, but the court painter insisted. Said it would be “dramatic” and “good for posterity”. ; ) Also, her theme song. : D

I’ve been staring at it now that it’s ‘done’, trying to figure out how I could improve it further. : P But I learned a lot on it, and I’m reasonably proud of my work, enough to sign it and brag about it to everyone… I used a screenshot to get her face right, looked up a bunch of references for hair and armour and sword, used a tutorial to get the lightning… I did tweak the armour, because the armour ingame looks a bit silly, especially if you see it from the side (boobs ahoy). My armour looks a bit more flat and I’m fine with it not being super shiny, because it’s ironbark, not silverite. I changed the gloves as well; I wanted it to be more clear that they’re made of the drake scale hide you get in Haven. Also changed the sword, I think the ingame Starfang looks a tiny bit silly.

I might upload a ‘progression/making of’ image sometime, I have enough WIP screenshots to do so…

I’ve been working on this off and on for the last few months, in between video games and work. Glad it’s done. Now I’m supposed to play Transistor, but after that, I should do more things on my list… Maybe I’ll finish the Liz story? She’s been telling me more about her future life than her DAOA life. : P

But now, to sleep!
