[CLICK FOR LARGER] Sinterklaas gift for my best friend of one of his main characters, Sir Avarron of Windvale and his merry band of dorks. (the accompanying poem I attempted to write in the style of Beowulf, because I think I’m clever)

Some of these guys (okay most of them) didn’t come out quite how I imagined them, buuuut some of them are pretty close! Painted entirely using Painter 12’s sumi-e brushes (you remember I mentioned ‘another project’ way back when? this was it) Also I’m a little bit sick of Blackmore’s Night now lol

Dann – body, head (according to my reference notes obtained months ago, he has a beard, and I don’t approve, which is why I only added it afterwards in the complete picture)

Cullean – clothing, head (forgot to add a scar at first so it’s not in this picture)

Avarron – head (on the other hand from Dann, I can’t imagine Avarron happily without sexy warrior stubble)

Behr – head (Added a tattoo cuz why not)

Seinal – head, hand pose (he looks weird but I can’t figure out why, I think his mouth is in the wrong place or something)

Tanac – head (when I found this face in my research I knew I had to use it for someone)

Asrath – body, head, harp decor (yes I know that’s more Gothic than Celtic but it was in my head before I started drawing) (also I wish his face was longer but I didn’t want to get cartoony) (also Denis Lawson was such a babe when he was younger (and is still silverfoxy now) but he really reminds me of a sadder, more kempt James Burke too)
