Recently I got the crazy idea to draw Murlesson through all the different outfit changes in his life, so here’s part 1!
1: age 3, learning to read (secretly, in the slave camp he grew up in). I decided bracelets would be more practical than collars at this age. Reference used.
2: age 8, “Baby’s First Murder”. Blood spatter stock image yoinked from google image search.
3: age 13, newly purchased for Lord Netokos’s estate, assigned to mansion cleaning team. Reference used.
4: age 16, attempting to escape with Buhi’s blood on him
5: Korriban, enjoying archaeology even if it’s not very good archaeology.
6: Lord Kallig, after killing Zash. Not very happy with this one, his hair and face is all wrong and I don’t really like the outfit. I was aiming for a balance between the ridiculous outfits in SWTOR and for the simplicity that appeals to me (and Murlesson, wearing fancy clothes gets you noticed and he doesn’t want that). Traced the Kallig mask obviously.
7: date night with Ashara! If you remember another picture I did of a guy in a similar outfit… where do you think Reid got it from? XD Reference used.
8: possessed by Force-ghosts and dragged into the depths of the Dark Heart where Sel-Makor lives. His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, There’s vomit on his robe already. Also leaving bloody handprints because he’s disintegrating from the extremities. Abandoned the idea of using SWTOR armour for reference, though I did like that belt so I kept that.
9: all better now! Fighting Thanaton, inspired by Angel of the Dark. Reference used.
That takes it up to the end of Devil’s Due, but I have as many images for the next 30 years of his life haha. And once I get more into The Devil You Know, the next fanfic, it will probably expand.
One thing that didn’t get illustrated here was Murlesson’s Dark Side Fangy-Face, because these images are all too small to do it justice. Going to try separately, because I want to see if I can make it work. I keep designing characters with fangy-faces and they always look silly.
