Anne in colour

Doo doo de doo... swish swish... flap flap...

Doo doo de doo… swish swish… flap flap…

Ah, Anne. In colour! Original here. Ah, I did a sloppy job on the wings… but I still don’t know how to draw them. Anyway, I just tidied up a few details before posting it today, like the ear and the wing texture. As you can see I went crazy with the multiply function in Photoshop, though it is a tiny bit annoying that when you merge layers they either both become multiply or they both become normal… Didn’t really bother me here, though. And the bucket seems to have survived! Anyway, y’know, I think I actually prefer the pencil version – colour accentuates my mistakes/inaccuracies.

Marth and Sheeda II

The final sketch of yesterday’s picture. Marth’s face didn’t turn out so well as in the practice (isn’t it how that always is…) but if you want to see the little bit of it that I coloured – last month – here it is! The colours I was going to use were… Marth in his usual blue tunic, Sheeda in her usual red dress, Marth lying on a red blanket, and Sheeda lying on a wierd blue cloak thing with fluttery bits all over it. And then a green strip of grass in the middle.

Yay for blueheads?

This is a practice sketch of Marth and Sheeda lying on cloaks on a grassy lawn. They are not naked… I just left the clothes out of the picture. But they’re not naked.

This was going to be practice for a site redesign, but I decided not to use Marth and Sheeda mainly because they’re from Fire Emblem, which is a franchise not owned by me! So, while I was planning to do a graphic redesign for the whole site for whenever I posted the next picture (which might have been tomorrow!) I decided not to

Ike and Sunlight

Yaaay! Commander Lord Ike!

I was listening to Fire Emblem 9 music, and there’s this one track that sounds so… cinematic. It’s called #38 “Rally the Spirit”, and it has this rush in it and then a beautiful theme in the trombones… It’s just like climbing to the top of a green hill ahead of your army and seeing your beautiful homeland once again, and the sun shines on your face and the wind streams through your hair and makes your headband tails flow out behind you… Doesn’t seem to have much effect on your cloak, however.

I did use something of a reference for Ike’s hair. I also did this in pseudo-anime style (see mouth) but I do like the eye and ear. This whole picture completely made up for the last three or four sloppy jobs.

I love FE9 music! I should listen to it more often! I should try and put it on my iPod!

“Don’t let it show”

I love this song! Too bad the picture is terrible!

I love this song! Too bad the picture is terrible!

Sorry to put something this silly on the front page, but this is the last page in my mini-sketchbook. I don’t know if it overlaps with my next big sketchbook, but I don’t care right now. I will have minis up tomorrow. It’s a close up of Sain from the Fire Emblem Alan Parsons Project Band!

Sothe’s Victory Dance

"And now," Sothe informed them, "my victory dance."

“And now,” Sothe informed them, “my victory dance.”

This is Sothe from Fire Emblem 9, but I was inspired to draw this picture because of a clever little piece of fanfiction called One-Stringed Harp. Here, Sothe does his victory dance. “Thief Rules” apply. An amusing story, but with an apocapyptic climax. Woot.

There’s actually blood where there shouldn’t be.

Bandit die

I killed someone! Oh the humanity!

I killed someone! Oh the humanity!

I remember drawing this at Aunt Sets’ new apartment, so we were going to the Silver Medal ceremony so I could receive my Grade 9 Organ RCM medal. For BC. Not very interesting again. Anyway, this is the most realistic bandit or bad guy I think I’ve ever drawn. And his feet are terrible. Eirika’s hands are too skinny and my experience fencing didn’t help me enough with her right hand. And her body should be twisted more to her left so she makes a smaller target. Blah blah blah.

I actually like this picture. Could you tell?
