Legolas, riding through Mirkwood at high speed to get to Elrond’s council before the deadline. Whee. This was drawn much too lightly. Sorry for the poor scanning quality. Tomorrow’s is like that too.

Glorfindel Leads Them to Rivendell
Glorfindel! And Asfaloth! Asfaloth doesn’t look as bad as my horses usually do. I still can’t draw horse chests. I should study sometime. I tried to make everything other than him and his horse dark so that he would stand out. He is supposed to have a sort of glow, I think. Like the elves in the Shire, where a faint light falls about their feet. Unfortunately, the shadow faded. Frodo came out well also, and look! It’s Aragorn! Wow! Sort of. Sam is the hobbit just behind him, Merry is the one behind Glorfindel, and Pippin is behind Asfaloth. I had trouble scanning this. It didn’t want to pick up Glorfindel’s arm or waist.
Lyn vs. Stick Man (bandit)
Lyn! She looks okay, but who’s that other guy? (laughs) This is my level of interest in drawing ugly bad guys. Which bandits invariably are. Nice hair Lyn has, though.
Link and Legolas
One quick picture today. Link and Legolas, because I still think they’re very similar. Legolas came out badly so I didn’t finish him. I also rather like their expressions. Kind of challenging, really… or maybe just blank. Yeah. I like Link’s face in this one a lot.
Shadow Temple
Link descends into the depths of the Shadow Temple… Cool, huh? This is one of my favourite pictures. And that skull… I did research! Wow! I have an Eyewitness book about bones and they had a picture of a human skull, so I tried to draw it. And it turned out okay despite some perspective problems.
Ephidel and Limstella
Ephidel and Limstella, the educated morphs, playing chess. Morphs are the artificial humans created by Nergal, the villain of Fire Emblem 7. They always have black hair and golden eyes. Limstella’s the prettiest, but Sonia thinks she is. Sonia dresses sexy and thinks she’s human. I like Limstella a lot better. Ephidel is “Mr. Enigma”. Someone wrote a story in which they played chess all day and Elfired those unfortunates who disturbed them. That’s why I drew this picture.
Longship
This picture was inspired by the Enya song Lonships, which is perhaps her loveliest or second-loveliest song. The other one is Shepherd Moons, but this one is rather thrilling.
I like the kayaks.
Kent and Sain
The Social Knights of Caelin (and of Fire Emblem 7), Kent and Sain! These two are best buddies and pals and partners and everything – although if anyone suggests that this picture suggests they’re a couple, they’ll have to deal with Fiora’s long sharp lance and Salir’s… knobbly bony elbows and knees.
Kent was still very difficult (I still hadn’t seen a picture of his artwork, I believe). But, I made him a sort of Sain artwork clone, and they both turned out terrible anyway.
Wil and Florina
The guy is Wil, and the girl is Florina. Florina is a shy, shy little pegasus knight, about 16 years old, and Wil is a friendly archer. Florina’s terrified of guys, because she’s a girl, and she’s scared of girls with bows, because they could hurt her pegasus Makar, and she’s absolutely terrified of guys with bows because of both put together. But when they first speak to each other, Wil is so nice, and Florina actually makes a effort to answer… plus they look sweet together, so even though one can’t pair them in the game – no support conversations – I still paired them.
For this picture, I almost traced Florina’s artwork, and Wil I sort of copied from the game. He’s too tall, actually.
Eliwood and Ninian
I drew this picture because the picture at the end of the game with an Eliwood/Ninian pairing makes poor old Eliwood look kind of… wierd. My picture is not much better. Drat. Then I drew something sappy in the top left corner because I had extra space. Should let you know that Ninian seems to have shrunk in that one and that I’m not good at drawing kisses.
