Eye in the Sky

...What are you looking so smug about?

…What are you looking so smug about?

Hi! I just got back from Ontario yesterday, visiting the whole family. It was splendid. But I like being back.

This is, obviously, a picture of Ceniro. I don’t remember the circumstances. Judging from the title I was listening to the Alan Parsons Project song of the same name, which is his temporary theme song… But maybe I just wanted to draw him. He didn’t turn out that great, though. He has a really weird smile.

I have decided to start wearing jewelry. I was given more on the trip, and it’s very pretty, and so is the stuff I already have. So that’s my new resolution – get fit, learn to draw realism, and wear sparkly stuff. (And finish my silly fanfics and my Hallowe’en costume. And learn to play all my music in an impressive fashion.)

I played some Fire Emblem on the trip, too. I can write a whole bunch of Ephraim’s story now, and I also played the first four chapters of Shadow Dragon. No fanfics forthcoming on that, though, as the manga is already awesome. Not that I own it or anything. I should look into that.

Also! The Museum of Civilization is pretty cool and so is the War Museum. I love the statue of Justice in the hall where the Vimy Memorial maquettes live. And they’re right by a painting that gave me shivers. But the War Museum also makes me cry pretty easily. Some people have asked me why I’m writing about a war, and I reply something about it needs to be recorded in the hopes that it inspires at least a few people in some fashion. And not in a warlike fashion, either. : P

Also KevT is back in town so there should be some D&D happening in the next month.

Garden Dance

Look ma, only one hand!

Look ma, only one hand!

This is Flairé, because I was bored and wanted to draw Flairé dancing to Hayastani Aghchigner by Mariam Matossian. He is in the garden of the Lilemlen capital castle, and dancing on that wooden platform mentioned in the relevant chapter, and the squiggley things around him (more squiggley than the others, anyway, and that are not bushes) are random small percussion instruments dangling where he can hit them as he’s ‘dancing’. Also I used Photoshop to resize/increase contrast and I’m not sure it turned out that well. Maybe I’ll go back to just using generic Windows programs.

Determined Flaer

Stern Flaer is stern

Stern Flaer is stern

You know, Flaer usually shows up as either really nice or sad or something. It’s time to show people that he has a backbone somewhere in there, too. That’s why he’s a Prince. He also has a lot of hair and somewhat small shoulders. Here, anyway. And his crown is lopsided. : P

Aur the SOLDIER

... ... ... What?

… … … What?

Um. Aur, of Dreigiau/Shimmer/Darkstar/Wayrift fame (though for the last two he’s called Chase), as a SOLDIER from Final Fantasy VII. I know Aywren doesn’t particularly care for FFVII, as she’s one of those who thinks the last great FF game was VI. But my brother loves FFVII: Crisis Core, and wanted to play a game based on it. So I was the player, he was the gamemaster, and I randomly picked to play as Aur because I think Aur is cool and it meant I didn’t have to think up a brand new person and I didn’t have to play as one of my pre-existing characters, which would have made him groan in exasperation. And while we were playing I drew a picture. Continue reading

Mathaning

THEME SONG TIIIIIME

THEME SONG TIIIIIME

Quick picture of Mathaning, as a break from all that Tatamkanai stuff, and by the way this was all drawn inbetween Christmas gift-art for people.

Math looks pretty good here. I’m happy with it, although his chin is a little bit tiny. His hair swirls around his neck just right, though.

Tam

Long nose and high cheekbones – typical kalma and then some

And the last picture of Tam, for now. This one is not bad, but still not right. It brought out the colour change in his hair, at least. One of the points that is off is that his forehead is too far foreward.

Morning, Nov 24, ’09

Sleeeeeeeeeep.......

Sleeeeeeeeeep…….

This picture was probably drawn nine hours after the previous picture, and it illustrates all the important things that happened that morning.

1) it was misty out. Flairé appreciates that.

2) because of the insomnia that led to yesterday’s picture, I was short on sleep and dragged myself very unwillingly to Latin class. And I would be wearing glasses, but you wouldn’t be able to tell what they were if I drew them.

Scream

yo si te amo y vivo por ti / mi niña querida

yo si te amo y vivo por ti / mi niña querida

And once more we have a picture of Gullac, performing Los Adolescentes, his theme song, in a modern nightclub with a mic system. He’s at a rather passionate point in the song (end of the second refrain), and this is actually prior to sliding down the mic stand still. Natalia did translate the lyrics for me, for which I offer a thousand thanks, and they do fit Gullac quite well. Nothing specific, of course, since I’m pretty sure he never had a girlfriend, at least not seriously, but it’s the sort of stuff that suits him.

Not sure if this one turned out well or not. I’ll think on that whenever I see it. His hands turned out well, at least.
