So! Hrulash doesn’t exactly have a wide range of expressions. But if you can figure out what the different combinations of his facial features mean, you might get a tiny bit closer to understanding how he reacts to things and thus how he thinks.

…Because I can’t talk enough about this most demanding and pushy of muses (Hrulash: …….), I am now going to explain some of his more notable expressions. The others are just variations on these. Continue reading

Dubstep

hrulybeats

Hrulash likes loud serious electronic music. Wut.
EDIT: He likes Artery Vein, Daft Punk, and FictionJunction KEIKO, among others. (His personal playlist also includes sections from Fleetwood Mac, the DMC anime OST, the FE9 OST, the Corpse Party OST, and the Tsubasa OST. …Gary listens to the Beatles)

EDIT2: Dubstep is probably the wrong genre… I’m not sure how to qualify his varied taste, though.

Hrulash Doodles

hrulashdoodles

Hrulash with bunny ears, as suggested by Yllamse as counterpart to Jayce’s cat ears.
Hrulash with minichibiJayce, who is helping him through his boss fight. Which I’m supposed to be writing right now.
Hrulash reading to Lavinia’s baby son Elio, revealing that he is actually not horrifically hopeless with children, though he will deny it strenuously to your face if you ask him. Continue reading

Hruly’s Girls

hrulysgirls1

Ramona Brigham, Hitomi, and Medigo Kashuul. Human, Elf, and Talfyr.
All fighting over the same man. As Gaby says, friends don’t let friends’ figments remain single!
Ramona’s clothes are generically Greco-Roman. Medigo’s clothes are loosely based off Mongolian clothing. Hitomi is carrying a healing staff and her pose is totally based off Natasha’s official art from FE8.
Regarding their potential relationships with Hrulash, which could happen as friendships anyway:
Ramona and Hrulash openly hate each other, she needling him and he stonily ignoring her until she hits a nerve, and then they have a shouting match. But does their bickering hide something more…?
Hitomi is one of the quiet, shy ones, but attaches herself to Hrulash as one of the humans she trusts to protect her since she has nowhere else to go, especially since she was abused by Feyless in the past. She’s hurt when he abruptly decides that he hates all elves because of the actions of one of them, but patiently coaxes him to a more reasonable view.
Medigo would not put up with any nonsense, hauling Hrulash kicking and struggling out of depression and telling him to get with the real life program. He’s wary due to her connection to Yintan, but her constant teasing (and other things, but I don’t know Medigo’s personality at all yet) eventually have an effect.

I’ve already been told they have man hands, so hopefully I’ll fix that before colouring it. EDIT: Nope, didn’t fix, too lazy.

Hrulash and Family

scan0014

Marcus Cato, Hrulash Cato, Elisia Cato (nee Delphinus), Petrus Cato. Father, son, mother, grandfather.
Notes on armour:
The breastplate is probably in several pieces so, you know, he can bend over (Lavi: BEND OVER!) rather than the solid piece it appears to be here.
The belt with the leather hip armour skirt hooks directly onto the bottom of the breastplate. Underneath he’s wearing a black wool short-sleeved/short-legged bodysuit thing.
The pauldrons are more European than Roman, but I think it’s excusable since Romans didn’t fly on dragons. The cloak hooks on to the pauldrons but is long enough to be unhooked, wrapped around to completely cover him, and be pinned closed in front for warmth.
The lance has a ridiculously large head so that even when diving at high speeds, he’ll hit SOMETHING. The shield is oval-shaped, and has a strap that can be hooked on so he can sling it over his back. In fact, it’s really only used when fighting on foot.
The fore-arm and shin armour is quite sturdy, as they’re taught to block attacks with those parts of their limbs (no idea how realistic/useful that is irl).
Not pictured: helmet.
Also the sandals that he’s wearing are closed-toe and closed-heel, unlike what the rest of his family is wearing.
His dad and grandfather are wearing a toga over a tunic.
His mother is wearing a dress with a sort of shawl-thing attached at the shoulder-pins, which would otherwise be decorational.
